University Of Arkansas Donald W. Reynolds Stadium Picture
This panorama of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium was taken by James Blakeway. Opening in 1938 as Bailey Stadium, it was renamed Razorback Stadium in 1941, with the Reynolds’ name later added due to a major contribution. Celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2013, the stadium seats 72,000 Razorback fans and boasts a high definition video display in the north end zone, one of the biggest in college football. Arkansas also lays claim as the only Razorbacks in all of intercollegiate athletics. Originally known as the Cardinals, the Razorbacks’ nickname resulted after a big win over LSU in 1909, when the Arkansas football coach called his players “a wild band of Razorback hogs.”
