World famous designer and architect Frank Lloyd Wright is largely credited with the modern design look of the barrel chair. The earliest of Wright’s barrel chair designs are said to have appeared in 1904. Barrel chairs in the classic Wright Style are style very popular among interior designers and the design of the barrel chair has evolved. Considered a modern design even today the barrel chair style features upholstery in a variety of colors and fabric types adding a new dimension to the chair’s versatile design.
