This panorama of Wake Forest University's BB&T Field, photographed by Christopher Gjevre, features the Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team. Dedicated in 1968, the stadium represents an extensive fund-raising effort undertaken by the college during the mid-1960s, which made possible Wake Forest's continued membership in the ACC. Renovations over the years include the 2008 addition of Deacon Tower, a seven-story, 123,000 square-foot press tower. This 31,500-seat stadium is considered one of the most beautiful stadiums of its size in the nation. Founded in 1834, Wake Forest University is a private university located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with enrollment over 4,300 students.
